Emoticon Burka

Emoticons began as a short string of facial expressions that help the author of a text expres his feelings in a visual way. They are primarily used in e-mail, mobile text-messaging services and online chat. When short messages are exchanged, the emoticons are believed to help explain the intentions and emotions of the writer quickly and with more nuance. In the Western world, we have our faces that show our emotions. But in some parts of the world, women have to cover their faces due to their religious beliefs. For these women it is much harder to show their emotions as they are hidden under a veil. How would someone wearing a burka show emotions? With this in mind I designed a contemporary burka in which women can show their emotions with different movements.
